Apple Strusel tart

Filling:
3T bourbon
1/2 Cup raisins (or cherry)
juice of 1 lemon
3lbs granny smith (6 apples)
1/2 Cup brown sugar
1/2 Cup regular sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup butter (melted)

topping
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup brown sugar  
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
dash of salt
6tbsp butter at room temperature
1 cup walnuts chopped

need: 9x3 springform pan

place oven rack in lower 1/3 of oven
pre-heat to 450

crust
1 stick unsalted butter (room temp)
1/4 cup sugar
1 large egg
1/2   cups of flour

  place butter and sugar in food processor with metal blade and pulse until it holds together
add egg and pulse 5 or 6 times to blend
add all the flour and scrape down the sides until it looks like a cookie dough has formed
press into bottom of ban and up the sides

Filling:

Warm bourbon in small saucepan DO NOT BOIL
Add raisin (cherries) remove from heat and cover and let stand
Fill large bowl with water and juice of   1 lemon
Core and peel apples
In food processor put in ¼ inch slicing blade
Transfer bourbon to large bowl and place sliced apples in mixture to coat
In small bowl put cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg and flour. Mix and add to apples
Place that mixture into pastry lined pan

Place pan on baking sheet. Bake @450 for 15 minutes

While it is baking, make streusel

Mix oats, sugar, cinnamon, flour, salt, butter, (not too fine) nuts

Remove tart from oven change oven temp to 350

Sprinkle strusel over top of apples. Bake for 1hour 10 minutes until top is golden brown and sides are bubbly

Serve with caramel
